Project Steps

Winter is almost here and the weather is growing colder and colder. When it gets too cold and the snow starts to pile up, having an outdoor BBQ is near impossible. Sadly, this means we usually have to store our grills for the winter around October/November.

Before you store your grill, it's always a good practice to clean away all of the gunk, grime, and dried food that accumulated over the summer. Natalie with A Turtle's Life for Me found that a great way to get the job done is to use the HomeRight SteamMachine!

Even if you live in the southern states and can grill all year long (we're jealous!), your grill is probably overdue for a good cleaning session.

Steam cleaning a grill

Natalie's grill was covered in grime, pollen, dirt, and gross food pieces. She used her SteamMachine to easily scrub it all away. The HomeRight SteamMachine uses up to 290 degrees of steam to easily blast away messes and the best part is that all you need is distilled water to make it work!

Natalie used the nylon brush attachment to clean the exterior surfaces of the grill and then switched to the brass brush to easily scrub away the grime on the grill racks.

Now she can store her grill for the winter and know that it'll be nice and clean when she pulls it out again next spring! For more details on this quick and easy cleaning project, head to Natalie's blog.
