Project Steps

Intro

Buying a used couch can either be a blessing or a curse. There are a LOT of nasty things that can be embedded in a couch...especially a microfiber one! So when Mary from Real Girl's Realm bought this couch from one of her good friends, she knew that it needed a good cleaning. Luckily, she had the SteamMachine.

Step 1

First, Mary started by vacuuming the entire couch to remove any big pieces of dirt or gunk. Next, she spot cleaned the couch with rubbing alcohol. You should never use other harsh chemicals on a microfiber couch because it will leave spots on the fabric.

Step 2

Once you're done spot cleaning, you can whip out the SteamMachine! This is a great way to clean everything from furniture to cars, and from bathrooms to kitchen appliances! It blows extrememly hot steam that disinfects and sanitizes while cleaning. Since it doesn't use chemicals, this is a great way to naturally clean your surfaces! For this project, Mary chose to use the small, round brush attachment on her couch while steaming. This also managed to fluff up the couch fibers!

Step 3

Mary repeated these steps until she knew the couch was good and clean! It only took her about an hour to do and the results were amazing. It looks like a brand new couch! No one would ever guess that it's second-hand. After finishing this project, Mary moved onto cleaning her bathroom with the SteamMachine. Since it comes with a variety of attachments, you can easily move from project to project without worrying about buying more accessories!
