Most people say that cleaning toilets is their most hated cleaning task. I don't feel that way though. I mean toilets aren't fun to clean by any means, but I really hate cleaning the shower - especially the shower floor. I tend to be hunched over for at least a half hour or so scrubbing and scrubbing and being left with a clean shower, but still one with stains that won't seem to budge. This was the case in my house up until a few months back when I discovered the most effective way to clean my shower floor- minus the back pain.
Fill up the HomeRight Steam Machine with water and let it heat up. You'll know it's ready when the red light turns on.
Put the nylon brush attachment on the end of the steam gun.
Pull the trigger on the steam gun and scrub the shower with the brush at the same time.
The gunk will literally just loosen up and melt away. Stop every once in a while to rinse the shower free of the stuff you have just cleaned off.
Continue steaming and scrubbing until you have cleaned the shower. If you have tougher-to-remove stains, continue to the next step.
Some stains in the shower might be harder to remove. For those, you can switch to the brass brush attachment.
Be sure not to scrub too hard with the brass brush, as it can scratch surfaces if this is done.
It took me about twenty minutes to give this shower a deep clean. While that is a good amount of time spent cleaning the shower, I removed stains that I had never been able to get off previously. Furthermore, it seems that the shower hasn't gotten dirty as quickly as it usually does.
Here's a side-by-side so you can see the difference:
