- HomeRight SteamMachine
- Plastic Tarp
I have a house full of boys plus a dog, so it's nearly impossible to keep our rugs clean. Luckily, I'm able to spot clean them quickly and easily (and without chemicals!) using the HomeRight SteamMachine.
First, lay a plastic tarp underneath your rug to protect your floors. I skipped this step since we have old laminate floors that I plan on replacing, so I wasn't too worried about protecting them. As you can see, our rug had lots of dirt spots. There were even some spots where dreaded slime got stuck in the fibers! (Parents of elementary aged kids, you know what I'm talking about.)
Fill your SteamMachine with water and wait for the light to indicate that it's ready to use. This takes about 8 minutes. The SteamMachine is a versatile tool that I use for so many things, and I love that it allows me to clean and sanitize our home without using chemicals. It uses pressurized, high-temperature steam to loosen dirt and grime. And it really does work so well!
I steamed and scrubbed each spot, and it easily loosened the dirt and even the dried up slime! It took very little effort on my part. The steam did the work.
I used the nylon brush attachment to scrub each spot, which helped loosen the dirt quickly and easily. I was really impressed with how easy the SteamMachine made this job.
Now we have a clean rug and it took hardly any time at all! I allowed the rug to air dry before walking on it. This tool is a must-have for us, especially having relatively light-colored rugs with children in the house. I use it for so many other things too, like sanitizing toys and surfaces, cleaning our oven, and more. It's definitely a handy tool to have.
With a house full of boys and a messy dog, our rugs don't stay clean for very long. Luckily with the HomeRight SteamMachine, I'm able to spot clean them quickly and easily! Plus, I love that this method doesn't use chemicals. This versatile tool comes in handy for so many things, and this is just one of the ways I've been using it lately.
