Project Steps

Do you have a gate or fence that is in need of an update? Maybe it needs a new coat of paint, or it's a new gate that needs to be stained for the first time. Either way, you'll love using the Super Finish Max Sprayer for the project. Here's how to quickly stain a gate!

To get started you'll need to add the blue spray tip for stain. The Super Finish Max Sprayer comes with three spray tips so always make sure to read the instruction manual to properly identify what color tip is needed before you start.

Next, fill the sprayer with stain. I went with a Dark Walnut color. You'll also want to prep the area. In my case, my gate has already been installed so I prepped the surrounding walls and ground for over spray. Once everything is prepped you can start spraying.

If I had any excess stain dripping I had a rag ready to wipe it away. Otherwise, 10 minutes later, my gate was stained! I let it completely dry before I also applied a sealer the same way. The Super Finish Max Sprayer makes this project so easy!
