Project Steps

Intro

Using the HomeRight SteamMachine to clean baby toys is a great way to get into all the cracks and crevices of toys to really get them clean.  This will remove any sticky residue and help get rid of germs that may be lingering on any surfaces.  And this is the perfect way to clean big baby toys that you can't just throw into the dishwasher.

Step 1

You will begin by using a funnel to fill the SteamMachine with water.  Depending on how many toys you have to clean, you may want to fill the SteamMachine the whole way, or you may be able to just fill it part way.

You will want to attach the Jet Nozzle Attachment to the SteamMachine and then plug the SteamMachine to let it heat up.

It will take several minutes for the SteamMachine to heat up all the way, but once it does, you are ready to go!

Step 2

Once the SteamMachine is heated up, you will simply pull the trigger and spray the steam in all the cracks and crevices of the toys.  Be careful not to get any paper, stickers or electronics wet as it may ruin those.

Wipe the toy dry or set it on a towel to dry completely if needed.

Continue until all the toys are clean!

As a note, please do not do this while your little ones are near.  The steam that comes from this machine is incredibly hot and you would never want little fingers to get hurt.  So this is best to do while the baby is napping or you have someone else around the home to help keep your little one a safe distance from the SteamMachine.

Spring is here and I have been feeling the itch to clean all the things! Including all my baby's toys that have endured a winter of exposure to lots of yuck. Some baby toys are easy to clean by throwing them into the dishwasher, but other toys are not. So I decided it was time to take my SteamMachine to them and get them nice and clean and germ-free!  With just water, my SteamMachine and a few minutes of time, all of my baby's toys were clean and ready to be played with again.
