Materials Needed:
  • Window box
  • Tarp
  • Paint
  • Finish Max paint sprayer
  • Sandpaper

Project Steps

We recently got a new roof and it looks great. We also just finished painting the trim. All of a sudden it was very obvious that our shutters and window box were looking shabby. It was time for a makeover! Thanks to the Finish Max, our window boxes were looking like new in no time.

Step 1

If the window box has been previously painted, you'll need to sand the loose, chipping paint off. After you have sanded it, wipe it down with a damp rag.

Step 2

Lay out a tarp to protect your work surface. Fill the Finish Max with the paint you wan to use. Make sure you have thinned it properly if needed. Paint the window boxes in two thin coats verses one heavy coat.

You could also use the Super Finish Max for this project. The Super Finish Max is the perfect upgrade to the regular Finish Max.

Step 3

Once you have finished all your coats and painted all the sides, wait for it to completely dry before planting the flowers. I use hooks and eyes to attach it to the window. Attach an eye to the top back corners of the window box.

Step 4

Attach the hook to the window trim.

Step 5

I think the window boxes really add to the curb appeal of our little brick house!
